Thank you to everyone who was able to join Mosaic and HCES/HCHS PTA’s mental health panel on March 6th. It was an incredible event featuring mental health professionals Genavae Dixon, LMFT, Dr. Regina Miranda, and Dr. Ana Ortin Peralta, and it was expertly facilitated by our very own HS 8th grade parent, Dr. Laurie Kane (bios).
In case you missed the event, watch the recording here. As promised, we have compiled resources here for families from the panel so please have a look.
Your Mental Health Panel Planning Committee,
Roseanne Ciparick Almanzar (HCHS PTA Co-President and ALHFA Co-Chair), Nita Stella (HCHS PTA Co-President), Kari Strong (HCES PTA President), Nicole Hindman (Mosaic HS Chair), & Liz Clay Roy (PAAC ES Chair)

Please join us for a panel discussion about mental health wellbeing and crisis in children and teens. Both of Hunter’s PTAs along with Mosaic, PAAC (Parents of African American Children), and ALHFA (Association of Latin and Hispanic Familias y Amigos) are bringing together three inspiring panelists to talk together about their research on and experience with young people and mental health crises including suicidality.
We’d like this discussion to cover some of the specific issues you are most interested in. You can help us with that by reading about the panelists’ expertise here and then submitting a question or topic you’d like them to discuss here.
Thank you and we look forward to seeing you there!
